privatefinancials.eu is operated by Data Alchemy Labs ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data in connection with our API service and website.

• Account data: email address and name when you register for an API key.
• Usage data: API request logs including timestamps, endpoint paths, and response codes.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and referrer URL collected via standard server logs.
• Payment data: processed by our payment provider; we do not store card details.

We use collected data to:

• Provide and maintain the API service.
• Authenticate requests and enforce rate limits.
• Send transactional emails (API key delivery, invoices).
• Monitor for abuse and security incidents.
• Improve the product (aggregated, anonymised analytics only).

We process personal data under the lawful bases of contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your personal data. To exercise these rights contact privacy@privatefinancials.eu.

Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 30 days after deletion. API request logs are retained for 90 days.

We may use sub-processors for hosting, payment processing, and transactional email. A full list of sub-processors is available on request.
